I am constantly experimenting with my art, exploring myself and how I communicate with the world. My art is meant to build off of our relationships in life: relationships with ourselves, with others, with God, and with the environment. As I journey through my art, my paintings come back to the human figure time and time again.

There is something so powerful about the immediate connection a viewer makes when looking at the human figure. I first started painting nudes while doing some soul searching in my early twenties. Facing and accepting the raw physical self was a process I needed to go through that reached depths beyond the surface of my skin. Painting and studying the human form, stripped of all that lies outside of us, allows me to speak to the rawness of life that often gets buried beneath all of our layers.
